Quickstart

From a blank prompt to a finished, exportable deck in about a minute.

This is the fastest path from nothing to a real deck. You'll need an Afterdeck account. New accounts come with free credits, so you can generate without adding a card.

  1. Create your account. Sign up with email or Google at afterdeck.app. New accounts get 400 free credits to start. If you signed up with email, click the confirmation link in your inbox. That unlocks credit spending.

  2. Open Create and describe your deck. On the Create page, type what you want in the prompt box. A little context goes a long way: name the topic, who it's for, and roughly how long. A one-liner works too, and Agent fills in the rest.

  3. (Optional) Set the knobs. Below the prompt box you can choose a slide count or a brand. Leave them alone and Agent picks sensible defaults, including how deeply to plan.

  4. Press Design. Agent drafts an outline and may ask one or two clarifying questions. Answer them, or click Skip. Either way it starts writing slides. You can even close the tab; Agent keeps generating and your deck will be waiting.

  5. Watch it build, and start editing. Slides stream in one at a time. You don't have to wait for the whole deck: as soon as a slide is done, you can click in and edit it while the rest generate.

  6. Refine it. Click any text or image to change it directly, or open the Agent panel and ask for a change in plain words: "make slide 3 punchier," "use a warmer palette across the deck." See Editing slides and Editing with Agent.

  7. Present or export. Hit Present to run it full-screen right away, or Export to send it to Google Slides, PowerPoint, or PDF. See Presenting and Exporting.

A good first prompt

The more Agent knows up front, the fewer questions it asks and the sharper the first draft:

A 10-slide investor update for a seed-stage SaaS startup.
Audience: existing angel investors. Cover traction, revenue,
the next milestone, and the raise. Confident, data-forward tone.
