Editing by hand
Click anything to change it. Text, images, layout, and layer order, all in the browser.
Every generated slide is fully editable. Click any element and a floating toolbar appears with the right controls for it. It feels like a focused design tool: select, type, restyle, move, resize, and arrange. No waiting on the AI for small changes, and none of it costs credits.
Select and edit
Click an element to select it. The toolbar that pops up depends on what you picked.
Text
- The pencil lets you type right on the slide. So does clicking selected text a second time, pressing
Enter, or simply starting to type. Click away or pressEscapewhen you're done. Enterstarts a new line while you type.- Double-click a word to select it.
- Erase every word in a text box and the box goes away when you click off it.
- Labels in charts and diagrams are editable too. Select the chart, then click the label you want to change.
- Bold and Italic do what you'd expect.
- Size nudges the text up or down, and you can type an exact number.
- Color opens a curated set. Pick a custom color, reset to the default, or use the eyedropper to grab a color from anywhere on screen.
Images
- Replace opens a dialog with three ways to swap the picture:
- Pexels searches millions of free stock photos.
- Upload takes your own file (JPG, PNG, WebP, or GIF, up to 10 MB).
- URL takes a direct image link, plus alt text if you want it.
- Effects are one-click filters like Mono, Noir, Sepia, Warm, Cool, Vivid, and Fade, each with a live preview.
- Crop trims the image freeform or to a fixed ratio (1, 16, 4, 3).
Move, resize, and arrange
- Move anything by dragging it. It stays exactly where you let go, and nothing else on the slide shifts.
- Guides appear while you drag, so it's easy to line things up with other objects, center them on the slide, or match the spacing in a row. Hold
⌘/Ctrlto drag without snapping, orShiftto move in a straight line. - Items in a list, like bullet points or a row of cards, reorder when you drag them within the list. Hold
Alt/Optionto place one freely instead. - Resize by dragging the handles on the selection box. On text, the side handles change where the lines wrap and the corners make the text bigger or smaller. Photos and videos keep their shape when you drag a corner. Hold
Shiftto stretch them. - Arrow keys nudge the selection 1 px at a time, or 10 px with
Shift. - Arrange layers sends an element Front, Forward, Backward, or Back. Open the full layers panel to drag the whole stack into order.
- Duplicate and Delete are both on the toolbar.
⌘/Ctrl + Dduplicates too.
Add, reorder, and delete slides
- Add slides with the dashed card at the bottom of the slides panel. Describe what you want, choose how many (1–10), and Agent designs them onto the end of the deck. They inherit your fonts, palette, and rhythm.
- Reorder by dragging a thumbnail to a new spot in the slides panel.
- Delete by hovering a thumbnail and clicking the red trash button.
There's no "redo this slide" button. If a slide isn't landing, ask Agent for something else ("redesign this slide as a comparison"), or duplicate it and edit the copy.

What you can and can't change
Inside the editor you can adjust almost anything on a slide. The split between editable content and locked design mainly decides what stays editable after you export and what collaborators can change on a shared deck. See How Afterdeck works and Exporting.
