Frequently asked questions
What is a credit?
Credits fuel slide generation, Magic Animate, and AI image generation. A slide costs 10 credits. Smart Transitions are free. Exports never spend credits. Higher-resolution exports come with Plus and up, and maximum resolution with Max.
Do my monthly credits roll over?
Subscription credits reset at the start of each billing cycle. On the Free plan you also get 100 fresh credits each month. Credits purchased in a direct credit pack expire 1 year after purchase and stack on top of your subscription balance until then.
What happens if I run out of credits?
Grab a credit pack any time from your account and it lands on your balance immediately. Or upgrade your plan, which takes effect right away: you're charged the new price and get its full credits that same day.
Should I get a subscription or a credit pack?
A subscription gives you the cheapest per-credit rate, refreshes every month, and unlocks premium tools (Magic Animate, the Ultra agent, higher-res exports). Credit packs are a one-time purchase for occasional users. A bit more per credit, but nothing recurring.
Can I refund a credit pack?
Credit packs are non-refundable once purchased. They're delivered immediately and stack on top of your subscription balance until they expire 1 year later. If something went wrong with a purchase (duplicate charge, accidental click), email support@afterdeck.app within 48 hours and we'll sort it out. Subscriptions can be canceled at any time from your account; cancellation takes effect right away, and your remaining credits stay available for a month.
Can I change plans or cancel anytime?
Yes. Changing plans, up or down, takes effect immediately: you're charged the new plan's full price right away, your billing cycle restarts, and you get its full credits that day. Unused credits from your old plan are kept as a separate balance that expires in a month, so you don't lose them. If you're on an annual plan, the rest of that year isn't refunded or credited when you switch. Canceling also takes effect right away, and your remaining credits stay available for a month. We don't charge cancellation fees.
How many slides does a typical deck cost?
At 10 credits per slide, a 12-slide deck runs ~120 credits and a detailed 20-slide deck ~200. Magic Animate and AI images cost a little extra on top (Smart Transitions are free). The tooltips next to each plan's credit count show the slides-per-month estimate.
What payment methods are accepted?
All major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover), plus Apple Pay and Google Pay, handled through our Stripe-powered checkout. Billing is in USD, and Stripe automatically converts for cards issued in other currencies.
What happens to my content if I downgrade or cancel my subscription?
Your decks stay yours. We never delete what you've created. If you drop to a lower tier or cancel, some advanced features (Magic Animate, higher-resolution exports, the larger Agent budgets) become limited or read-only, but you can still open, edit basic copy, and export every deck you already made. A downgrade takes effect immediately: you switch to the new plan's credits that day, and unused credits from your old plan are kept as a separate balance that expires in a month. On a full cancel, your remaining credits stay available for 1 month.
Can I use Afterdeck slides commercially?
Yes. Decks you generate are yours to use commercially: client pitches, product launches, conference talks, anything. No attribution required and no cap on how many times you present them.
