Remix a deck you already like

Point at one of your decks, describe the new one, and get slides that look like they came from the same set.

Remix: a new deck that keeps an earlier deck’s look

You spent an afternoon getting a deck to look right. The next one shouldn’t start from a blank page. Remix builds a new deck in the look of one you already have.

The weekly update. The second client pitch. Next week’s lesson. The content changes every time and the look shouldn’t have to. Pick the deck you liked, write your prompt for the new one, and generate. Same colors, same type, same feel, all new slides.

Where to find it

On the create page there’s a Remix pill under the prompt box. Open it, search your decks, pick one. The deck’s title sits in the pill so you always know what you’re remixing, and an X clears it. Every deck card has Remix in its menu too, on My Designs and in your recent decks. Inside a deck, the More menu in the top bar has “Remix this deck”. Any finished deck you can open works, including one somebody shared with you.

An earlier slide’s colors carried across to a new one
The look carries over. The slides are new.

Same look, new deck

  • Kept: the colors, the fonts, the spacing, the whole feel. The two decks look like they belong together.
  • New: every layout, built around whatever is actually on the slide. You don’t get the old deck with the words swapped.
  • New: the writing and the images, chosen for the new material.

If you restyled that deck after it was generated, the remix follows how it looks now, not how it started out.

It asks what comes back

Decks you make on a schedule usually have parts that repeat: a standing opener, a segment you run every week, the closer you always end on. When the earlier deck has them, you get asked which ones return this time instead of typing them out again.

Change whatever you want

The old look is the default, not a cage. Ask for a darker mood or a different typeface and you get it, with everything else carried over. A remix also takes the place of a Brand, so picking a deck to remix clears the brand you had selected.

A remix costs the same as any other deck. Open the create page, hit Remix, and pick something you liked.
